Shirly nice -SOLD!!!!-

I made this shirlock last night. It took me @ 4 hours. It has 11 sections. Including a Dichro bridge, 2 reversal montages, a vortex marble, and multiple honeycomb sections. I made this with the ends of my mystery adventurine, CBS rainbow dichro, and i used some black violet for the honeycomb. I'm pretty happy with the results.

SOLD!!!

I'm kind of disappointed with the way the pictures come up when i load them. I tried spining them in paint then uploaing, but they still came out spun the wrong direction.

I made this stuff yesterday. I was feeling like not doing production. This is my 1st Goblet attempt!!! I used lavender tubing and silver beach rod. I need another ball-grabber to make goblets, but I did it with one pair and a pair of tongs. I also made 2 spoons, one has a solor system on the side. the other is just a chunky one with black and yellow flower on front.

I made these pieces in 2004. Shortly after, I took@ a 4year break from glass blowing. I'm now wishing i never did. I've been back at it for @ 4 months. I had a rough start, but it's all coming back now!! I still use this little kiln. Best $300 investment ever.
After 8 years it's not looking so pretty but it still does the trick.
I just ordered a new digital pyrometer so I can Make Headies again. It kind of sucks just going by my old settings on my analog controller and estimating what temp. I'm at!
My Goal is: By Christmas or soon after I am getting the Paragon F130 W/ digital controller.
The headie in the middle of the pic on the right has a penetration bridge that goes from the mouthpiece through dough-nut connecting to the next reversal section.

Today I made spoons and fixed cracked shirlock

Today, I made production spoons. I need to get money for kiln. These spoons are fun to make. I also fixed a piece I sold to Phat Stuff, Winchester NH. I sold them the little shirlock with wig-wam montage. Yesterday when I was there selling Katie a bunch of spoons and stuff, she asked me to fix this piece or give her another comparable in price. I personally didn't like the piece to begin with. There was no way I was going to give her another piece that was comparable to the price they marked it as. It was over priced. I think I gave it to her for $25 or $30, and it was marked at $70. So I just fixed it!

I personally think head-shops should keep prices a little lower, so they sell faster. It's not like the artist actually gets even half of what a shop sells it for. When I sell glass to the Hempest in North Hampton, Mass they do give me half or more, but that's because I trade them pipes for glass supplies.
The picture of the spoons and onies is about 2 or 3 days work. The spoons I made today are still in the kiln. these are from the last 3 days. I already sold them to Phat Stuff. Along with 4 outside worked shilocks and a couple of bubblers! Rent is coming up!

Dichro Rings

This is one of the cases of rings I made to sell at the pumpkin festival in Keene, NH. Everybody seemed to really like them, but I didn't really sell very much. I guess that everyone was really broke. Most of the rings in this case are sizes 5 to 9. All are accented with dichro and are pretty durable. I set up at a frat house on the road of the fest. where there was a great deal of foot traffic, but I think most of the college kids were intimadated by the drunk jerks being baligerant.

The Fire Piece w/ Dichro Sun!

I made this mini headie last week.It is @ 7 inches long, the dichro sun on side is 1.75 inches across. I traded it for more glass supplies. When I need glass supplies I bring pipes or pendants to John or Jason down at The Hempest in North Hampton, Mass. This is a color changing, mini-headie Hammer.

This is a dichro galaxy pendant. this and the previous item (rainbow dichro ring) are both listed on ebay.

This picture is one of my handmade glass rings accented with dichro!
